Ruptured thoracic aortic aneurysm in young male patient: A rare case report

Thoracic aortic aneurysm (TAA) is the ballooning of upper aspect aorta above diaphragm. We herein present a rare case massive ruptured TAA in young male patient. A 30-year-old patient diagnosed with descending rupture Crawford Type I showing widening superior mediastinum homogenous round opacity regular smooth margins observed left midzone silhouetting knuckle causing hemothorax passive collapse lung and mediastinal shift to right. On color doppler it showed typical yin-yang sign. The underwent open chest repair graft. This study demonstrated that warrants an early diagnosis because majority patients exhibit no symptoms until ruptures or dissected, which worsens morbidity mortality. Furthermore, prompts necessity intervention like either endovascular stent placement thoracotomy grafting on basis CT angiography findings.
